I have been enjoying working out with Sophie in the park for few months. She’s a very thoughtful trainer that customize plans just for you.
I have some ankle issue but I still want to workout and lose weight, Sophie designed the workout plan according to my situation. That’s very helpful!
I do feel my strength is a lot more stronger after the few months training . Also I learned how to eat healthier and lose weight consistently and slowly. Sophie taught me the mindset for eating healthier, as well as gave me a realistic meal plan that’s doable.
She’s also a multilingual trainer that can lecture training in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Spanish. That’s extra credits!
Overall I am happy to train with Sophie. Hopefully I can train with her again soon in the future!
I really recommend Sophie! She is a very enthusiastic dietitian and I really like her welcoming smile in every session. Her 12 weeks program is perfect for someone who looks forward to not only losing weight but to build a lifelong habit. She really cares about her clients and she follows up very closely every time we meet. I really like that she shares many actionable nutrition and healthy lifestyle tips that are manageable in our busy life. Nutrition or how to live healthier can be a very broad topic but I really appreciate her professionalism in all areas and her ability to tackle one area at a time each week. It is a very well-rounded program that leads me to learn much more about nutrition and to incorporate healthy eating in my current lifestyle!
Sophie is amazing! Her course taught me how to incorporate healthy sustainable habits in everyday lifestyle. She provides flexible solutions when there are dietary restrictions, time constraints, and environmental hurdles. She shares recipes that work with your lifestyle and new information about science of nutrition, helpful gadgets, and cooking tricks. She helps to build a structure in your lifestyle so that even after the consultation is over you have something that you use. Also a big plus, her positive attitude is contagious too!
Sophie has been working with my mom for the past few months to learn how to proportion her meals, balance nutrition in her meals and her attitudes towards food. She has been awesome! I highly recommend Sophie! My mom has learned how to read labels to look at nutritional content, eat balanced meals and vary her diet. It is a HUGE plus that Sophie speaks Chinese so she is able to deliver her counseling and education in a culturally sensitive manner and to generate meal plans that are relatable and realistic for my mom. I have Sophie to thank for finally getting my mom (and my whole family!) to make healthy lifestyle choices that are enduring, rather than trying some crash diet. Sophie also has a flexible schedule and was able to meet on weekends which helped my mom’s busy work schedule.
I can’t recommend Sophie enough, if you’re thinking about a nutritionist, reach out to her! My dad is down 15 POUNDS in 6 weeks. I hired her for myself but more importantly my father who has had a lifetime of poor/stubborn eating habits. If you have older parents, you probably experience some degree of this, as their understanding of nutrition just wasn’t what it is today. The fact that she speaks Mandarin is also a tremendous help. She helped us understand portion control, healthy substitutes and education about dieting, nutrition and eating right.
Sophie has been a great help. So positive and encouraging. That fact that she apoke spanish, was a huge help. She helped my mom lose weight and lower her cholesterol, in a way where she didn’t feel like she was pressured to diet. Managed to lose weight and not complain. The staff are also very friendly, they are open on Saturday. I highly recomend.
Sophie has helped my husband with his blood sugar levels and they are finally under control. He has even been able to back off of his medication. Sophie really cares about her clients and wants to see their success and celebrate that with them. She is very professional and also very friendly and extremely likable. She takes the time to explain everything and make sure you understand and answers all your questions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone struggling with diabetes.
I lost 11lbs in 3 months with Sophie , you will learn a lot of sustainable life skills to maintain your weight and lost weight than any other trainer out there. Unlike keto diet, intermittent diet, protein shakes meal diet, those are not sustainable and you will bounce your weight back. But with Sophie, she will teach you other alternate food to substitute your sweet tooth. You don’t have to deprived yourself. She also will provide a meal plan that works for your schedule, and lifestyle. She is cheerful, accountable, enthusiastic and nonjudgmental. She can Come up with flexible and creative solution for your struggle. I highly recommend her!
My 65-year old mom lost about 10 lbs and was having frequent digestive discomfort/issues. We wanted to find a nutritionist and personal trainer who could speak mandarin with my mom and Sophie was an excellent fit. She developed a detailed diet and exercise plan and after several weeks of working with her, my mom gained a healthy 5lbs back. Sophie was able to figure out what foods to avoid in my mom’s diet and recommend other nutritious foods to help her gain back healthy weight. My mom has diabetes and has had several dietician appointments when she was with health care partners and now kaiser. Although they provided her with general knowledge they mostly just informed her of what foods she should not eat. They were not able to provide her with the guidance and understanding that Sophie provided. She tailored her meal plan it specifically to what my mom enjoys eating. Sophie made it easy and clear for my mom to follow her meal plan even even though she is a picky eater. My moms A1c has dropped significantly and her sugar is much more controlled. I would highly recommend!
We hired Sophie to work with my mother on her diet and her nutrition. My mother is 78 years old and has recent allergies to corn and wheat along with other health issues including unhealthy weight loss. Since working with Sophie (about 2-3 months of bi-weekly meetings and cooking sessions), my mother gained 5 “healthy” pounds and has learned a ton about how to manage her diet properly.
